FORM Graduate Pathway

From qualified to confident.

Completing your Pilates teacher training is an important milestone.

But becoming a confident instructor takes more than receiving a certificate. It takes practice, observation, honest feedback and the opportunity to teach real people in a supportive environment.

The FORM Graduate Pathway is designed for newly qualified Mat and Reformer Pilates instructors who are ready to develop their teaching beyond graduation.

Led by Nursah, Physiotherapist and Head Trainer of FORM Academy, the pathway combines individual mentoring, practical preparation and real studio teaching experience.

Your Next Step After Teacher Training

Many graduates finish their qualification understanding the exercises, but still feel uncertain about:

  • Creating a complete and balanced class

  • Giving clear and effective cues

  • Managing different experience levels

  • Offering appropriate progressions and modifications

  • Observing movement while continuing to lead the room

  • Building confidence and presence as an instructor

The FORM Graduate Pathway gives you a structured environment to work through these challenges with individual guidance.

You will have time to prepare, practise, receive feedback and gradually step into teaching real students.

What the Pathway Includes

Individual Mentoring with Nursah

Receive personalised guidance based on your current experience, teaching goals and areas for development.

Mentoring may include class planning, exercise selection, cueing, movement observation, modifications, teaching presence and professional development.

Teaching Observation

Observe experienced teaching in a working studio and learn how instructors manage pacing, transitions, communication and the different needs within a group class.

Class Planning Support

Develop thoughtful Mat and Reformer class plans with guidance on structure, flow, timing, progression and teaching intention.

Personalised Teaching Feedback

Receive practical and constructive feedback to help you understand what is already working and where your teaching can become clearer, more confident and more effective.

Studio Practice Access

Use the studio to rehearse your classes, practise cueing and become more familiar with teaching in a professional environment.

Real Teaching Experience

Prepare and teach:

  • One Mat Pilates Community Class

  • One Reformer Pilates Community Class

These classes allow you to gain genuine experience teaching real students while remaining supported throughout the preparation process.

Referral Credit

Know a newly qualified instructor who would benefit from the FORM Graduate Pathway?

When someone you refer is accepted and joins the programme, both you and the participant will receive a $100 Little Mandarin account credit.

The applicant must include the referrer’s full name and the email address connected to their Little Mandarin account in the application.

A Pathway into Teaching

The FORM Graduate Pathway does not guarantee employment.

However, participants who demonstrate strong teaching ability, professionalism, reliability and alignment with the Little Mandarin teaching culture may be considered for further opportunities.

This may include:

  • Additional community teaching opportunities

  • Progression into a Junior Instructor position

  • Ongoing mentoring and professional development

  • Future teaching opportunities with Little Mandarin

  • Our aim is not simply to help you complete two classes.

It is to help you understand what is required to continue growing into a thoughtful, capable and confident instructor.

Who Is This Pathway For?

The FORM Graduate Pathway may be suitable for you if you:

  • Have completed a recognised Mat and Reformer Pilates qualification

  • Are newly qualified or have limited group teaching experience

  • Would like more practical experience before applying for regular teaching roles

  • Want individual guidance from an experienced educator and physiotherapist

  • Are open to feedback and committed to improving your teaching

  • Would like to develop experience inside an established Pilates and movement studio

You do not need to have completed your teacher training with FORM Academy to apply.

  • A genuine interest in helping people move well
