A Yoga Alliance YACEP certified advanced training designed for yoga teachers, movers, and passionate practitioners who wish to teach aerial yoga with confidence, safety, and artistry. This training is not about chasing fancy tricks but about understanding the alignment-based foundations of aerial yoga. While the practice can look beautiful, what sets aerial yoga apart from aerial arts is its grounding in traditional yoga, breath, alignment, and embodied awareness. The aerial silk becomes a supportive prop that helps you refine alignment, explore poses safely, and deepen your personal practice.

Led by Jowing Zhang, founder of Little Mandarin and FORM Academy, this course builds on two successful cohorts and over ten years of aerial teaching experience. You will learn an alignment-focused method that elevates your teaching, sharpens your safety instincts, and deepens your understanding of movement in and around the aerial silk.

Whether you aim to begin teaching or refine your existing skills, this 50-hour program will give you the clarity, methodology, and supervised practice needed to lead safe, thoughtful, and uplifting aerial classes.

What Our Students Say

  • Lela

I found Little Mandarin by chance and fell in love with aerial yoga from my very first class. It challenged me, grounded me, and kept me coming back, so I joined their first aerial yoga teacher training.

Jowing is incredibly knowledgeable and knows exactly how to guide, support, and nudge you. The training was comprehensive, covering anatomy, cueing, teaching skills, and how different bodies move in each pose. As a full-time professional, the schedule was perfect.

I also made wonderful friendships with my fellow trainees, and the safe, supportive environment Jowing and Jamie created made the whole experience unforgettable. If you’re considering taking your aerial practice further, this is the place to be.

  • Elva

Little Mandarin's teacher training program was highly informative, covering a comprehensive range of topics essential for anyone aspiring to be an aerial yoga instructor. From anatomy and asanas to philosophy and teaching methodologies, the program delved into every facet of yoga. However, what truly distinguished this teacher training program and rendered it an exceptional experience in life was the lead instructor Jowing's dedication to exploring the essence of yoga and her passion for sharing with us her profound knowledge and skills. I unreservedly commend this program to anyone seeking to deepen their yoga practice and embark on the path of becoming a yoga instructor.

  • Nicole

I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this amazing training. Jowing's passion and extensive knowledge of yoga are truly inspiring. Her classes and studio immerse one in an irreplaceable sense of positive energy. The training not only struck a perfect balance between professionalism and intimacy, making the lessons enjoyable and memorable. But also provides a great platform and opportunity to confidently pursue a teaching role after completing the YTT.  Although my original goal for joining the training was to deepen my self-practice, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself developing an interest in teaching despite it not being my initial intention. I highly recommend this training to anyone looking to expand their knowledge and embrace personal growth, even if you aren't considering becoming a yoga instructor. You may just discover something unexpected along the way!

  • Steph

My aerial yoga teacher training (AYTT) journey at Little Mandarin with teacher, Jowing was both rich and extremely rewarding. Jowing continually took the approach of instilling her passion, knowledge, and practice of precisions of asana alignments throughout the course. You will be challenged both mentally and physically, but the knowledge you gain after completing the course will be just priceless! I would highly recommend Little Mandarin AYTT to anyone wanting to embark on the journey to becoming an aerial yoga teacher or simply deepen and further develop their self-practice skills.
