Introducing Yi Zeng
I started my yoga journey in 2008 as a way to release the stress from an interior design career. I revealed more and more benefits of yoga after many years of practice - not only giving me a healthy body but also my ability of maintaining a calm state of mind with concentration and awareness.
Since 2013, I have been focusing on Ashtanga yoga. I obey the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa method which is an incredibly effective method for exploring and developing core strength. My Asana practices run through with deep and stable ujjayi breathing, drishti, bandha and mind control as a floating way to meditate.
I attended an Ashtanga Yoga teacher training in “Mysore Mandala Shala”, learned more about asana, pranayama, meditation, mantras, and philosophy of Ashtanga yoga in 2015. Teacher Chidananda guided me through asana adjustments, anatomy on different poses and how to avoid injury during practice.
I am passionate about teaching Vinyasa flow and focusing on alignment and breathing with a dynamic flow of energy. I believe that each person has a different body condition. Through practice you may know more about your body and therefore you are able to find your own practice.
